link:https://www.spotify.com/[Spotify] is a cross-platform proprietary music streaming service.
Spotify is a freemium service, with advertisements which can be removed by purchasing a subscription.
Although Spotify is not officially supported on Fedora, it can be installed on Fedora in a number of ways:
. Using a Flatpak hosted by https://flathub.org[Flathub].
. Using Snap hosted by https://snapcraft.io/spotify[snapcraft].
. Using the third-party https://rpmfusion.org/[RPM Fusion] repositories.

== Installing Spotify using Flatpak

To install Spotify using link:https://flatpak.org/index.html[Flatpak]:
. Install Flatpak using DNF:

. Enable the Flathub remote:

. Install Spotify:

== Installing Spotify using Snap
To install Spotify using link:https://snapcraft.io/spotify[Snap]:
. Install Snap using DNF:

. Either log out and back in again, or restart your system, to ensure snaps paths are updated correctly.
. To enable classic snap support, enter the following to create a symbolic link between `/var/lib/snapd/snap` and `/snap`:

sudo ln -s /var/lib/snapd/snap /snap

. Install spotify, simply use the following command:

snap install spotify

. Click on the Spotify icon in the applications list.
